Default Making it to Google 1st Page

Well I consider this a Success for me & my Team at 212articles. We created 212 Article Directory with the hope of making it one of the best article submission directories on internet.

Had some difficulties in the start to leave other projects aside and start working on this cause we faced " Tough Competition" we targeted two keywords
"Submit Articles" & "Submit Free Articles"

With huge competition we have now managed to come on 4th page of Google and I know the journey from here is going to be tough.

However, the reason of posting this thread is to involve all of you SEO gurus and find ways and means where we are lacking and what we need to do....

Do share your ideas and suggestions so that we could unleash the power of these forums and make this vision a reality.

Any suggestion and any help on this thread will be a source of strength for us.

If you have any queries then plz mail me @ jessica@212articles.com

Improve the no. of backlinks. Try to exchange link with other article directories. And use SMO for more popularity.

You are looking at an uphill battle. You have entered an industry that everybody is in. How do you plan to make money on this site? To be honest i don't see the value in an article submission website. Why would you get in one of the most competitive industries when you don't know what you are doing? It is like saying "How can I get on the Dallas Cowboys team I hear you can make a living playing football" On top of that you have never played football before. Making money with a website is not easy. Nobody will ever rank for terms like that if they are asking how to do it in forums.

The only answer is get more links from authoritative websites. That is not easy since your website is just like every other website and there is no reason to link to it. So the only way you can rank in google is to spam and then you will be banned.

The solution is to make a unique website that provides a service that people need. Spend a lot of time on it. If the website is worth linking to people will respond to link requests and other tactics to expose your website to website owners.

This may sound harsh but I think you need to hear this. You can't just jump on the Internet and make a living.

The 2 keys to SEO are onsite and offsite optimization.
For onsite - make your website content rich and use keywords as mcuh as possible (without getting spammy)
For Offsite build up back links to your website. Add your site to directories. The bigggest 2 are dmoz and yahoo. dmoz is free (but takes a long time to get approved), yahoo is $299 a year. There are many free directories, all of which will improve your websites backlink count. We offer a free directory.
