I got some info about sitemap by searching on google. so i want share with u my conclusion.

"Sitemaps are an easy way for webmasters to inform search engines about pages on their sites that are available for crawling. XML Sitemaps have replaced the older

method of "submitting to search engines"Sitemaps are a useful tool for making sites built in Flash and other non-html languages search-able."


Please tell me am I right or wrong and plz put your views if I am forgetting about sitemap.

Thanks for all that I became familiar with what is the sitemap with the help of your guidlines but after knewing that one question arised in my mind that robots.txt and sitemap are the same things because both are tell us "which one links to be crawled and which one not be." plz clear this problem.

there are 2 type of sitemap one is HTML and XMl
both have own value ...
we put HTML sitemap in our site every pages ..

benefits:
Search engine can find every pages in 2 click by the use of HTML site map

We use XML site for submitting it into search engine for which we optimized the site and by which search engine easily index all the pages present in the sites

Sitemap are very important from the SEO point of view because it gives an idea about your website pages to search engine spider.We use two types of site maps HTML and XML.

1. HTML Sitemap - This map is used for user experience that how many pages you have in your website. You need to put your HTML sitemap page link into the footer section of every page.
2. XML Sitemap - This map is used to guide the search engine spider that how may pages you have in you website. Your website index pages are tracking from here by Google. If you have this pages index more quickly in Google.

sitemap provides the User and Search engines to a map of your sites.That describes the all pages of your site.
Search engines download the all sites sitemap and check the pages

I can't believe this you have 26 post in this forum and you say you don't about sitemap...really you don't know about that...?

Site map is use for site navigation.....

Html site map use for site user.

XML site map contain the page url is useful for search engine.
