301 redirect is a permanent redirect which inform Google spider that web-page is moved from here to new location. Then Google transfer whole traffic and page rank to the new web page. this mainly used when someone shifting his website from one URL to another URL.

301 is a reditection code which we use for permanently moved pages.We use it when the site moved to new domain .
