Everyone has been drumming this into my little brain, you have to have content, Jolene. Content, content ! After I wrote on two blogs and one forum and one website, I pretty much ran out of content. Heck, I am not some kind of content printing machine, it is hard enough writing to my mother once a month! Then I got lucky, I found a little monster called articlemultiplier on a site, yikes they have such a mean bastard's picture there. Anyway that thing worked for me, in four hours I had created around 4000 articles without any grammar mistakes. Then I sat down and posted them on forums, blogs, even classified sites :) and article sites too. In one week I managed to get my client's site to third page on google, from wherever the heck it was earlier. Not bad, eh?

f you set it up correctly you will get relevant links from sites that see you are open to linking. As long as you maintain full editorial control and avoid full duplex services and software, you will naturally attract relevant links because sites request links from sites that openly make it known they link.
